Camp Oty’Okwa has been in existence since 1942. At that time, there was a belief that working with our children in small, family- oriented groups away from their home environment could produce positive results that could last a lifetime. Seventy years later, we still believe in the value of the camp experience and the positive role-modeling that occurs there.
You can help continue this tradition. There are so many ways that you can SUPPORT Camp Oty’Okwa!
We offer a traditional 5 day session for $375 and a 7 day session for $525. We also have a special 7 day Science Camp for $600. To request registration materials, please contact Chara Williams.
Summer of 2016 hosted the Inaugural Girls Only Session!
Recently, Camp Oty’Okwa has created a SCIENCE CAMP for boys and girls ages 9-13. This is a week-long, overnight camp in July each summer.
TRADITIONAL EXPLORER AND ADVENTURE CAMP (ages 6-14)
The traditional residential summer camp programs at Camp Oty’Okwa are Explorer Camp and Adventure Camp. Explorers (ages 6-9) and Adventurers (ages 10-14) live in a cabin or platform tent with other children their own age and their counselors. They spend at least one night camping in the woods. Campers learn how to work together and be comfortable in a new environment while having fun with activities such as swimming, hiking, stories, fishing and team-building activities with certified staff.
If your child would benefit from extra attention or closer supervision during his/her experience at Camp Oty’Okwa, please let us know prior to registering your child so we can meet with you and personalize the camp experience to best fit the needs of your child. Some examples of children who would benefit from this are children with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, behavior or mood disorders, Autism or a combination of needs. For more information, please contact the Camp Administrative Office at (614) 839-2447, ext. 177 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
