Lead Weekend Counselor
Earn up to $100 per weekend
Qualifications: A desire to work with children
Responsible to: Camp Coordinator
Function: To directly supervise their cabin group, encourage campers to participate in all activities and guide the campers throughout their stay at camp.
All employees must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the physical & emotional safety and caretaking for the assigned cabin group campers:
- Be aware of dangers (ie: cliffs, inappropriate situations) and use precautions as necessary
- Be with your group and observe
- Provide necessary first aid for any known injuries and notify the Camp Nurse & Camp Coordinator if injury/incident is severe
- Implement and adjust (if necessary) daily activities with your group:
- Be involved and engaged on hikes
- Be involved during all camp activities
- Provide a positive experience while campers are going to bed
- Help individual campers participate in group and camp activities:
- Spend time with each of your campers
- Help campers participate in activities they are interested in
- Show enthusiasm with camping activities
- Provide 24/7 supervision for your group. Do not leave them unattended!:
- Provide supervision during all camp activities
- Provide supervision during bedtime and throughout the night
- Seek help providing supervision when you require breaks
- Clean up cabin, supplies, and camping equipment.
- All other duties and tasks as assigned by the Camp Coordinator

Weekend support counselor

Function: To assist with activities, encourage camper participation, and support Lead Counselors
All employees must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Responsibilities
- Assist assigned cabin group(s) with activities throughout the weekend:
- Assist with supervision of children in group
- Assist with meal times
- Be involved and engaged on hikes
- Assist in providing a positive experience while campers are going to bed
- Assist with planned weekend activities:
- Help set up activities and areas as assigned
- Facilitate activities as assigned, showing enthusiasm with activities
- Provide supervision to groups or individual campers, when needed, to ensure 24/7 supervision:
- Be with the group, providing activities to keep the group together and engaged
- Provide necessary first aid for any known injuries, according to your level of training, and notify the Camp Nurse & Camp Coordinator if injury/incident is severe
- Clean up cabin, supplies, camping equipment and program areas
- All other duties and tasks as assigned by the Camp Coordinator
