Environmental Education Naturalist
Entry Level Educators Earn $30 for a 3-Hour Class – Can Earn $60 + Per Day
Spring Training Dates: March 17-18, 2018 & March 24-25, 2018
Qualifications: High School Diploma, enthusiastic, team-player
Desired Qualifications: Background in education, knowledge of natural science, experience working with children
Responsible to: Environmental Education Coordinator
Function: Lead hands-on investigative, fun & engaging games, exploration, & implement given curriculum. Curriculum ranges from forest ecology to teambuilding exercises.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the physical & emotional safety and caretaking for the assigned school group:

- Be aware of dangers (ie: cliffs, inappropriate situations) and use precautions as necessary
- Be with your group and observe
- Provide necessary first aid for any known injuries and notify the Environmental Education Coordinator if injury/incident is severe
- Implement and adjust (if necessary) daily activities with your group

- Know and be able to implement the curriculum for your assigned class
- Be involved and engaged on hikes
- Be involved during all camp activities
- Help individual students participate in group activities:
- Show enthusiasm while teaching
- Provide supervision for your group. Do not leave them unattended until class period is over
- Clean-up supplies and classroom equipment.
- If Boarding at Camp

- Keep area clean at all times
- Do not invite guests to stay with you while board at camp
- Respect camp property at all times
- Do not consume drugs or alcohol while on the premises
